Filfla & the 3 Fishermen

Stuning best photo from Planet Color Photography

Italian version 🇮🇹 Here

Filfla is a small uninhabited island in the archipelago of the Maltese islands, rich in history and home to rare animal and vegetable species. It is a protected area of international importance and is the only place in the world where a subspecies of green lizard with red spots lives; in addition, colonies of birds such as the bird of storms find a significant nesting site on the island. It is not possible to visit the island, except for scientific purposes. Only with special permits is it possible to dive in the waters that surround it.

The author of the photo Robert Vella describes the shot as follows:

I was very lucky to have the three fishermen in the background. Initially I went to the edge of the cliff to take some long exposure photos of Filfla. After taking the photos of Filfla, I wanted to take more photos, but this time I wanted to include a little ‘of land. So I went back and the fishermen balanced my composition “.
