Turpault castle

Italian version 🇮🇹 Here

Located a few meters from the sea on the tip of Beg er Lann, also known as Punta delle Lande, this splendid Anglo-medieval manor house was built in the early years of the last century by Georges Turpault, a wealthy industrialist, from whom the castle takes its name. During stormy seasons, waves crash on the manor’s third floor windows. Being still a private site, the Turpault castle cannot be visited, but whoever is in the area cannot help but make a small visit around the building to take some photos.

Turpault Castle is the emblem of the Quiberon peninsula, a strip of land where the sea and the wind are the masters. Divided in two by natural events, the coast faces on one side an abrupt and aggressive sea and on the other on small coves with clear and calm waters. This alternation of landscapes ranging from wide and sunny beaches to rocky coasts have given it the name of Còte Sauvage (wild coast).

In this photo Franck Robin offers us the spectacle that nature can give to who decides to visit the Castle of Turpault: taken in light backlight at about 1.3 kilometers away on a stormy day in December 2019 at the first light of dawn .
