Fireworks in Mekong

Fireworks in Mekong

Italian version 🇮🇹 Here

The Mekong is one of the longest Asian rivers of extreme historical and economic importance for all of Southeast Asia. China, Burma, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam use its waters to irrigate fields and produce electricity.

In addition to being the seventh longest river in the world, the Mekong was very important in the past, above all for being a means of communication between peoples. Along the river, businesses and ideas spread for thousands of kilometers, putting regions in contact with each other, distant and culturally and economically different.

Along the river in the city of Phnom Penh, the Royal Palace with classic Khmer roofs and rich golden decorations dominates the panorama of Cambodia‘s capital.

The artist Chetha En describes her photo in this way:

I don’t have any description to represent this picture, but I have a few words to say to motivate myself, motivate the beginning photographers and my feeling about this picture.

[…..] “Do What You Love, Love What You Do”

In my view point of photography is to imagine something that I want to have in my picture.
Keep shooting if you like photography. Read the photography books, join the photography workshop, join any event that related to the photography, if you have money to can go to photography school. For me, I just attend any kinds of photography workshop or events because I want to learn about photography. Shooting is important for me because I can share with other people to have feelings what I’ve felt and experienced. Before I own a camera DSLR, I want to be a memory keeper. Today, one year already, I still don’t understand and don’t know how to express my feeling through photography clearly yet. This photograph I have planned already, but not the fireworks. Fireworks were exploded abnormal due to the technical problem.
I used a tripod, and a remote control for camera. It is located in Mekong river in front of Royal Palace Phnom Penh city, Cambodia. It was independent day 66th 2019 of Cambodian.
My feeling about this picture, I have a strong feeling and a lot of memories related to the fireworks since I was a kid. I’ve imagined about my childhood, I would sit or lay down to see the beautiful fireworks. I felt peace and freedom and also lonely too.
Everything could happen out of the plan, so keep trying and shooting for yourself.
