Duoro Valley – Portugal

Duoro Valley – Portugal

Italian version 🇮🇹 Here

The Duoro Valley is a fascinating valley that stretches along the banks of the Rio Duoro perfect for a dream vacation at any time of the year.

Famous for Vinho do Porto, the Douro Valley and also the main wine region of Portugal, a dream for all wine lovers. Uncontaminated by mass tourism, the deep valleys offer dreamlike landscapes. The hills overhanging the river are all terraced with rows ranging from intense green in summer to bright red in autumn giving truly unique landscapes.

The combination of breathtaking landscapes and ancient winemaking traditions has meant that UNESCO decreed the Douro Valley as a World Heritage Site, becoming over time also a sought after and appreciated tourist destination.

Listening to the lapping of the waters of the Douro, the tinkling of wine glasses under the full moon;

Lively and melancholic as seen from the Rio Douro, the enchanting Porto seems to rise like a novel. From the lapping of the waters of the Douro to the clinking of glasses of wine, the historic center is a tangle of streets and alleys that cross the medieval village, and all seem to lead to the most magical point of the city: the Dom Luis I bridge, a work designed by a collaborator of Gustave Eiffel.

That you arrive by car, by train, by boat, or even by helicopter. Whichever way you choose, the excursion will certainly not leave you indifferent.

The Douro Valley, Porto and the magical atmosphere of Ribeira will remain in your heart from the first moment.In this splendid photo Jorge Grade represents the intense atmosphere that characterizes this territory and that will not leave our senses indifferent.
