Belchenflue Pass – Basilea

The Swiss city of Basilea is an unmissable destination for those who want to visit a place where the charm of the medieval past and the contemporary nature of the present have made it today considered the cultural capital of Switzerland. Located on the border with France and Germany, among the mountains that surround it we find breathtaking views. Among these, the Belchenflue Pass located in the Jura mountains between the cantons of Basilea Campagna and Soletta, south of Eptingen, covers one of the most beautiful places in the Basilea area. The pass is usually called Bölchen by the locals and derives from the ancient Celtic language and means Sun God Belenus.

The photo of Claudio Minotti was taken at 1000 meters high at the Belchenflue Pass in the Basilea Campagna: the wave of clouds that covers the area below is a specialty of Claudio Minotti.
