Italian version 🇮🇹 Here
The beautiful waterfall, whose origin is on the Alferello stream in the Alfero territory, owes its name to the abundant presence of trout in its waters; in fact the waterfall is also called “Trout waterfall” or “Alferello waterfall” (ndr italian language:”Cascata dell’Alferello” o comunemente “Cascata delle Trote“). Characterized by layers of sandstone before falling, its 32 meters give the waterfall a truly monumental aspect. Reaching it is quite simple: The waterfall is located near Bagno di Romagna (province of Forli-Cesena), on the edge of the Casentino Forest Park. From the town of Alfero it is about 25 minutes.
